We Are Coming Home for Labor Day

This is me attempting to keep everyone informed about what we are doing for Labor Day. So far, we are leaving tonight to come home for the weekend. It will definitely be too short, but we'll do our best to visit with everyone. Here is the 'schedule' - yes, this is what it has come to! : )

Thurs - Driving to WV

Fri: morning - Mama Smith's house
lunch - kids napping, Missie visiting Pepsi friends
evening - Grandma Pollitt's house

Sat: morning - Nana's house
lunch - kids napping
evening - Going to the Regatta, see Papa Jim and Winnie

Sun: morning - Meeting Mama Cheryl and Aunt Mindy
lunch - kids napping
evening - open - maybe visit Sophia and Aidan's best friends (or Sat evening)
night - Driving home

**I haven't forgot about Chris, he's going to be spending his time doing some house repairs to our place at 300 Andover. We have a few things to do from the inspection, nothing major. And he will be working on the black Corvette.

This will give us 3 full days with the family and one full day to recover on Monday before going back to school. We are very excited to see you guys! Aidan is anxious to show off his new mohawk. Sophia (I swear I just wrote Sarah) got her hair cut to her shoulders, it was getting long and she was fussing that it hurt to comb it.

Take care and we'll see you all soon! xoxoxo

Calm Weekend at Home in SC

We had a very laid back weekend. We went to a county waterpark about 10 miles from the house, which Sophia and Aidan absolutely love! They both are not afraid of getting splashed by the water. They played for a couple of hours...made some little friends while they were there.

They both take such long naps on the weekends - about 3 hours or so. It makes us think the heat just really wears them out. Its VERY hot down here. You step out into the garage and immediately your skin starts to feel tacky. This is probably the worst time of the year, so I expect the temperature to get better but not the humidity. I only really mind it between 10 - 3 at the hotest part of the day.

We are fortunate to live about 1/2 mile or so from the development's pool and playground. So, we can go down there as often as we want. Chris bought us bikes with kid seats on the back to be able to take them on rides in the evenings. Aidan didn't get a chance to try it out but Sophia really loved it.

We are doing fine. Aidan of course got hurt the other day. He lost his footing and hit our glass table (its really thick) and got himself a black-eye. Poor kid doesn't realize he's not made of steel. He's talking more and more. Sophia is growing up and becoming more mature all the time. She's been a little more emotional this weekend then we would like but no worse than any other little girl her age. We just love them!!!

Take care and xoxoxoxo, Miss
